Sammia Atoui is an artist and printmaker in the Boston area. She primarily works on paper and primarily in color. Through her exploration of portraits, landscapes, and domestic scenes, Sammia captures the beauty and nostalgia our environments possess. Her use of color, texture, and composition creates a sense of fluidity and movement, mirroring the ever-changing and impermanence of time and place. Through mark-making, she highlights the presence of her hand in the creation of the artwork, inviting the viewer to engage with the process and context of the piece.
